Quarry Missions: [Local]

Although not as glamorous or adventurous as international missions, local missions are the heart and soul of any church and here at the Quarry we strive to make our community the best it can be by helping out our neighbors in need. Here in Monticello you can get involved at any level through a number of opportunities:

Great River Area Faith-In-Action (www.gra-fia.com) Is a local service group that pairs those in need with those who can help in a multitude of ways from driving seniors to doctors appointments to gardening or cleaning at a disabled personís home. Each fall, they organize Rake the Town, an event the Quarry often attends raking the yards of disabled homeowners. Serving Wright & Sherburne Counties.

Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity (www.cmhfh.org) Averages 7 new homes each year within 100 miles of Monticello and with them you can do anything from fund raising and community awareness to building and roofing.

The Monticello Food Shelf (763-295-4031) provides nonperishable food supplies & personal care items for local needy families and is always looking for food or time donations.

Feed My Starving Children (www.fmsc.org) Packages a nutritious meal for a family that will be shipped around the world and they are always looking for families or small groups to help them out.

Youth Investment/Timber Bay (est. 1970) is a Christian, non-profit organization that reaches out and mentors at-risk and hurting kids from the suburbs and small towns throughout Minnesota. Serving the youth of Monticello since 1999, Timber Bay staff and volunteers have enjoyed a strong working relationship with the Monticello school district, as well as local law enforcement, churches, and crisis counselors. Timber Bay is always open to more staff and mentors who have a heart for hurting kids in our community. For more info, click on our logo.
